Large drawings of wire sculptures are produced in acrylics.
The translucent properties of wax used for modelling sculptures
has always been a fascination. High quality beeswax and pigments
are used for waterscapes and reflective paintings on hard
wood.
Encaustic painting dates back to ancient Greece. They should
be treated as watercolours – kept out of strong sunlight
and not exposed to temperatures of over 100f.
